How to choose management software for your ASD
Before signing an annual contract, check these six points. It's not a ranking: it's the checklist we wish we'd had when we started building SimplySport by talking to ASD presidents and coaches.
Built for ASD associations, or a repurposed fitness tool?
Software built for generic gym subscriptions and check-ins treats medical certificates, the member register and membership fees as optional extras. In an ASD they aren't: check whether these obligations are core to the product or bolted on.
Do the receipts actually comply with the L.398/91 regime?
Progressive numbering, correct heading, compliant wording. Ask to see a real one before signing, not a marketing screenshot.
Is the price you see the price you pay?
Some tools show a base price and add modules, SMS or support as separate costs. Ask for the fully-loaded price for your actual member count.
Does it actually work well from a phone?
Running a combat sports gym means marking attendance and payments ringside, not at a desk. Try the site from your phone before deciding, not just the desktop demo.
Does support respond in a reasonable time, in your language?
A tax obligation or an inspection doesn't wait for a support team in a different time zone. Check the stated language and response times.
Can you try it without a credit card?
A product that shows you how it actually handles certificates, the member register and receipts before asking for a card is a good transparency signal.
